Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Heavy rain will be influenced by the powerful low-pressure mass in the Gulf of Tonkin and southwest monsoon in the Andaman Sea as well as in the upper Gulf of Thailand.
Risk areas include Mukdahan, Amnajcharoen, Kalasin, Yasothorn, Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
People in those areas were warned of mountain run-off and flash flood during June 16-17.
60 percent of rain will be in the north. Heavy rain can be seen in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Tak, Nan and Phetchabun.
In the northeast, there will be 70 percent of rain. Heavy rain will be in Nongkhai, Sakon Nakhon, Udon Thani, Nakhon Panom and Mukdahan.
In the central region, heavy rain can be seen in some areas such as Kanchanaburi, Supanburi and Ratchaburi.
70 percent of rain can be expected in the east. Heavy rain will be in Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Chanthaburi and Trad. Waves can be as high as 2-3 meters.
In the eastern south, there will be 70 percent of rain, particularly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumporn, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Pattani and Narathiwat.
80 percent of rain will be in the western south, and heavy rain can be seen in Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Waves can be 2-3 meters high.
70 percent of rain will be in Bangkok and nearby provinces. Heavy rain can be expected in some areas. Southwest wind travels at the speed of 15-35 kilometers per hour.
