Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Powerful southwest wind which is still covering the upper Gulf of Thailand will result in more rain in the north than other regions, according to the Meteorological Department.
People in Mae Hong Son and Tak were warned of flash flood and mountain run-off.
60 percent of rain will be in the north. Heavy rain can be seen in Mae Hong Son, Tak, Chiang Mai and Kamphaengphet.
In the northeast, 30 percent of rain can be expected, particularly in Loei, Nongbua Lumpoo, Nongkhai, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Panom.
40 percent of rain will be in the central region, especially in Nakhon Sawan, Chainat, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Singburi and Lopburi.
There will be 30 percent of rain in the east, in particular Sakaew, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trad. Waves can be approximately two meters high.
10 percent of rain will be in the eastern south, particularly in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Waves can be as high as 1-2 meters.
In the western south, there will be 20 percent of rain, especially in Ranong and Phang Nga. Waves can be about two meters high.
40 percent of rain can be expected in Bangkok and adjourning provinces. Raining will be during afternoon-evening. Southwest wind travels at the speed of 15-35 kilometers.
