Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Bangkok won the Best Business City 2008 award from Global Travel Magazine, US leading travel magazine.
The magazine surveyed more than 31,000 readers during January-August 2008. Most of the respondents were executives and business people.
Surveyed topics included tourist attractions and service providers in the
tourism industry.
The award presenting ceremony will take place in Los Angeles today.
This reflects Thailand’s tourism is up to the international standard and is popular among business people who are quality tourists and the target group.
The award also helps boost the country’s image as the quality and best value-for-money tourist destination compared to other countries in this region.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Los Angeles Office, planned to present arts and cultural performance to promote Thailand.
Prakij Chinamornpong, president of the Thai Hotels Association, said this was good news which would boost the country’s tourism.
He also urged Thai people to ensure tourists about safety when traveling to Thailand.
