Bangkok - Former Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin planned to promote local products to add value to Thai products.
Apirak talked about promoting trades in Bangkok. Made-in-Bangkok products would be supported.
Vendors would be urged to manufacture products to be up to the standard.
Products included clothes, souvenirs and so on.
Unique clothes and souvenir selling places would be promoted among worldwide tourists.
Famous clothes markets in Thailand are in Pratunam, Pahurat, Chatuchak and Bo Bae areas.
Well-known tourist attractions are on Kao San and Yaowaraj Road whereas community product places include Banbath and Banbu.
Apirak insisted Bangkok would be promoted as the trade and investment center.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) would help overseas and local vendors to sustainably run their businesses.
