Bangkok - The commerce ministry planned to propose the issue of putting garlic and NGV on the controlled-product list to the cabinet meeting soon.
The issue was discussed at the product and service price committee meeting chaired by Commerce Minister Chaiya Sasomsap.
A licence from commerce ministry would be sought to transport any controlled products.
The sub-committee was urged to review the price structure of soy bean oil and milk products.
Officials were ordered to examine the product stock as raw material prices decreased.
The product and service price committee planned to call palm oil manufacturers to discuss the product price situation.
There would be no price hike for other kinds of products. This is to be in line with the government’s economic stimulus measures.
Previously, milk manufacturers asked to raise 1-3.50 baht of product price while the soy bean oil manufacturers wanted to raise the price to 54 baht per litre.
