Bangkok - Interior Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung yesterday presided over the interior ministry’s monthly meeting in June through the videoconference system.
Pongpayom Wasaphoot, Interior Permanent-Secretary, asked the governors in each province to closely keep up with the pro-People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) movements.
The governors were also urged to solve the conflicts between the pro-PAD and pro-government group.
The PAD vowed to rally on until the ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra enters the juridical proceedings, Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej and Interior Minister Chalerm resign.
The interior ministry asked people to reduce the power and oil consumption, allowing its officials to borrow loan for NGV and LPG installation.
The ministry plans to offer cheap products every Friday, starting with the ten-baht dish this week.
Chalerm asked each province to hold a big merit-making event nationwide on June 17.
The event is to bring peace to Thai society and dedicate to the late Princess Galyani Vadhana.
