Bangkok - New Aspiration Party (NAP) leader Chingchai Mongkoltham called MPs to press the government to resign before a violent problem took place.
Chingchai said Thai society was clearly divided by politics.
The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) has staged its rally since August 25, calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej and his cabinet.
PAD protesters went to streets during Thaksin government, becoming a factor for the military coup in 2006.
Premier Samak already announced he would not step down or dissolve the parliament.
Chingchai believed such decision would cause political deadlock and could lead to violence.
MPs were urged to act against the Samak government.
He also thought that the government would turn to announce the state of emergency which could result in bloodshed.
NAP leader proposed an ad-hoc government should be appointed to put things in order and solve all existing problems.
