Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) - Red-shirt people gathered in front the Government House, calling for parliament dissolution and legal actions against the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD).
This morning, more than 30 red-shirt people shouted at Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, urging the premier to resign and take legal actions against the PAD.
Some of the red-shirt people tried to climb up the gate to get into the Government House. They shouted impolite words at the ministers.
The incident happened when Nipon Prompan, PM secretary-general, brought the cabinet to pay homage to the spirit house.
Fortunately, eggs thrown by the red-shirt people missed the target.
It is apparently that the red-shirt people do not like a handsome prime minister since their banners read ‘we want a prime minister who can work, not a handsome one’, ‘stop lying about creating democracy’ and ‘we do not want a thief government’.
Red-shirt people yesterday pelted Democrat Party’s chief advisor Chuan Leekpai with eggs while he was campaigning for Democrat candidates’ votes in the north.
Natthawut Saikua, leader of the red-shirt group, said egg pelting was to imitate the PAD and this was not against the Constitution.
