Bangkok (Manager Online) - Puathai Party submitted its request to open the extraordinary session in response to the Democrat Party’s effort to form a new government.
Amnuay Klangpha, Lopburi MP from the Puathai Party, revealed his party sent the request to the House Speaker Chai Chidchob at 11:00 am.
He said Puathai Party successfully had one third of the MPs to call the session and paid no attention to the Democrat Party’s attempt to form the cabinet.
Amnuay also said that a proper candidate from either Puathai Party or other coalition parties would be nominated as the next prime minister.
Vittaya Buranasiri, former government whip, was sure Puathai Party would be able to compete with the Democrat Party to form the government.
However, the People’s Network for Election Thailand (PNET) earlier showed its support for the Democrat Party to administrate the country.
The group also warned the Puathai Party not to make the situation worse by dissolving parliament and asked politicians to take the country’s sake into account.
Santi Vilassakdanont, chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), said the business sector wanted to see a new government and supported the Democrat Party to set up the new government.
