Bangkok (Manager Online) - Suthep Thaugsuban, secretary-general of the Democrat Party, revealed the new cabinet line-up would be completed this week, believing people would be happy with it.
Democrat Party will call a meeting on December 18 to discuss the ministers quota – about 14-15 posts for the party.
Suthep said the party’s leader Abhisit Vejjajiva would chair the economic team, and representatives from various sectors would be allowed to join the team.
He also said that he might not take any political posts, so that the posts could be allocated to the coalition parties.
The atmosphere at Puathai Party was a bit quiescent this morning since some leaders of the party did not show up.
Surapong Toevichakchaikul, Chiang Mai MP from Puathai Party, planned to submit more evidence to the Election Commission (EC) to take legal actions against politicians who involved in the government formation though they were deprived of their political rights.
These politicians include Newin Chidchob, Somsak Thepsuthin, Suwit Khunkitti and Anongwan Thepsuthin.
Sanoh Thienthong, leader of the Pracharaj Party, and Pol Gen Pracha Promnok, acting leader of the Puea Paendin Party, are favorite choices to lead the opposition party, according to second lieutenant Pongpan Sunthornchai, Nongkhai MP from Puathai Party.
