Bangkok - The PAD would stop their rallies only when Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat resigned, calling police to take action against the red-shirt people with weapons.
Somkiat Pongpaibul, one of the PAD leaders, this morning persuaded people to join the rally at the Suvarnabhumi Airport more.
He also told people to keep up with the government’s reaction to the army’s press conference.
Rumor has it that some People Power Party (PPP) MPs urged the government to dismiss army chief Gen Anupong Paochinda.
Sirichai Maingarm, one of the PAD’s second-generation leaders, explained that people, who messed things up and were arrested by police were not PAD members.
Maj Gen Chamlong Srimuang, one of the PAD leaders, said the situation would be over within today if the PAD could entirely take control of the Government House, Don Muang Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Chamlong also urged people to join the rally at the Don Muang Airport more.
All inbound and outbound flights at the Don Muang Airport were cancelled already.
