Bangkok - Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin warned Thai people of another round of rising water level during November 14-17. More canals will be developed for navigation.

It was expected the amount of rain in the next seven days would drop.

10-20 percent of rain might be in Bangkok, according to the Department of Drainage and Sewerage.

More water from the north would pass Bangkok, but the amount of water would not exceed 3,200 cubic metres.

However, rising water level could take place on November 14-17.

Houses behind the dike line would be affected. People in those areas were asked to move their belongings to high places.

Wood bridges would primarily be built to give help to afflicted people.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) planned to develop twelve canals for navigation in twenty years.

Klong Saen Saeb, Klong Lad Prao, Klong Ton, Klong Phrakanong and Klong Pasi Charoen would be developed during 2009-2012.

Six more canals would be developed during 2013-2016 while nine more canals during 2017-2020.
