Bangkok - It was estimated the highest level of water would happen on September 28 while more than 1,000 houses were affected by rising water level, according to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).
City Clerk Pongsak Semsant revealed the flood victim centers were set up at the Giant Swing, Din Daeng City Hall and district offices to help the afflicted people.
The level of water flowing to the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok remained at 2,280 cubic metres per second.
The highest water level of 1.60 metres was expected to occur on September 28.
Chao Phraya express boats were asked to reduce their speed so as to least affect the riverside houses.
So far, more than 1,000 houses have been flooded.
The BMA already sent its medical team to take care of afflicted people, and medicines were also given away to them.
The farmlands in the eastern part of Bangkok were not affected.
