Highest level of water expected on Nov 17

Bangkok - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will closely keep up with the water situation as the level of water will be the highest on November 17.

Yesterday, the sea water level remained at 2.12 metres, which was higher than expected.

Affected areas are Juntakham, Wat Thevaraj Kunchorn and Bangsue community.

City Clerk Pongsak Semsant said that increasing level of water would continue until November 21.

The water level in Chao Phraya River remained at 1.35 metres.

The Department of Prevention and Relief of Public Disasters, City Police Office and Department of Health were assigned to give help to people in the risk areas.

BMA will also coordinate with Chao Phraya Express Boat Co to specially handle the boat navigation so that waves will not affect houses.
