Bangkok - The security is tightened after a bomb blast took place early this morning. Lot of People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protesters were injured.
Jenkij Kadsathorn died after the bomb blast while Yuthachai Luephak was seriously injured.
Interior Minister Pol Gen Kovit Wattana said he got the report about the incident and police officers were sent to take care of people.
City Clerk Pongsak Semsant revealed there was no special order to deal with the situation, saying the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) normally helped handle injured people at hospitals.
More than twenty people were injured.
Some were sent to Phra Mongkut Hospital while others to Chulalongkorn Hospital, Vachira Hospital and Klang Hospital.
ASTV photographer Nopporn Sukram was also injured and sent to Klang Hospital.
PAD leaders called an urgent meeting after the bomb blast to prevent this kind of incident in the future.
Culprits would also be sought to face legal actions.
