Bangkok - Foreign Minister Sompong Amornvivat planned to discuss the disputed border with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen during the ASEM 2008 conference.
Sompong expected to discuss the border issue with PM Hun Sen in an unofficial meeting.
The ASEM 2008 will officially take place in Beijing during October 23-25.
The foreign minister revealed Prime Minister Hun Sen wanted to hold talks with Thailand.
Sompong told reporters that he also wanted to discuss the border problem with Cambodia, saying he had to wait for the right time.
He would see how Thailand and Cambodia could coordinate to end the border conflict.
Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat assigned foreign ministry to facilitate the joint discussion between the two countries.
