Bangkok - Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat looked stressful when giving an interview to the press yesterday, but would continue doing his job as the premier.
Defence Minister and PM Somchai received an audience with HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Klaikangwol Palace on October 13.
Asked if he would continue doing his job, the premier told the reporters that he just reported the country’s situation to HM the King as other premiers did.
Somchai said that he could not tell about his conversation with HM the King in detail.
Repeatedly asked if HM the King concerned about the current situation, he avoided giving an answer by just saying he only reported the situation to the king.
The reporters agreed that Somchai looked absent-minded, tired and stressful during the interview and did not say if he would dissolve parliament or not.
The prime minister was accused by the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) of following former premier Thaksin Shinawatra’s order to kill the protesters to enter parliament.
It was said Thaksin would give his diplomatic passport back to the foreign ministry.
However, Foreign Minister Sompong Amornvivat said that was just a rumor.
