Bangkok - ACM Chalit Phukphasuk received a royal audience with HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Klaikangwon Palace, presenting two Alpha Jets to HM the King to be used for the artificial rain making.
HM the King granted an audience to ACM Chalit and his group at the palace on September 22.
The Alpha Jets are with the equipment which is developed for the artificial rain making.
A model Alpha Jet was also presented as well as another Alpha Jet for the royal use.
In 1993, the Royal Thai Air Force joined the agriculture ministry to research into iodized silver bullets for the cool cloud-based artificial rain making.
In 2006, the Royal Thai Air Force launched the equipment development project for artificial rain making. The equipment was later installed in the two Alpha Jets presented to the HM the King.
