Bangkok - Seven leaders of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) will give themselves up to fight charges if the court revokes the treason charge, according to the PAD lawyer.
Seven leaders of the anti-government protests will turn in to police if the Appeals Court drops the treason charge against them.
"If the court today revokes the treason charge, I will seek bail for Chamlong Srimuang and Chaiwat Sinsuwong, while the other seven will contact police and surrender to fight the remaining charges," PAD lawyer Suwat Apaipak told reporters.
The Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for nine leaders of the PAD on August 27.
The nine leaders are also facing charges of illegal assembly apart from the treason charge with the death sentence or life in prison.
The Appeals Court will today give its verdict on their appeals against the warrants.
