Bangkok - There was neither clash between the police and the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protesters nor crowd dispersal, according to deputy Bangkok Metropolitan Police commissioner Pol Maj Gen Suchart Muenkaew.
The deputy commissioner said police just went to the scene to give convenience to the receivers who posted the announcements based on the court’s order.
The court yesterday issued its injunction to enforce the PAD’s departure from the Government House and dismantling of the anti-government group’s stage.
Pol Maj Gen Suchart revealed police had to get rid of the iron barriers while the demonstrators did not allow the police’s action. As a result, a little mess took place.
Last night, some police were ordered to get out of the compound by the protesters.
This morning, more than 30 guns were found and the PAD leaders reported it to police who admitted the weapons were at the scene. PAD reported the event so that the third party could not mess things up.
It was reported police would meet today to plan their response to PAD.
Protesters began to fall ill because of tiredness and exposure after three-night rally, according to PAD’s medical staff.
