Most Thai people are ready to face future

Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – 69.2 percent of Thais chose to hope and move forward whereas 30.8 percent were afraid of future events, according to a poll.

1,237 households in 17 provinces were interviewed in the real-time survey by ABAC Poll.

Nearly 90 percent of the respondents kept up with news weekly.

More people thought Thailand’s economy began to improve. However, 80 percent viewed the economic outlook was still bad.

38.9 percent said that their incomes were good.

As for job security, 56.1 percent said their jobs were secure compared to 49.5 percent in April.

Asked if they would spend a big amount of money in the next six months, 21.9 percent planned to buy electrical appliances such as refrigerator and television set.

11.3 percent would go for new cars whereas 10.4 percent would buy new houses respectively.
