Confidence in Thailand’s financial status is the lowest

Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Confidence in Thai tradition and helpfulness was the highest whereas confidence in the country’s financial status was the lowest, according to Krungthep Poll.

1,328 people in Bangkok were surveyed. Confidence in Thailand dropped 0.2 percent to 4.07 points in May.

Confidence in Thai tradition and helpfulness was the only confidence which was higher than five points.

Confidence in Thailand’s financial status was the lowest, falling 1.6 percent to 3.36 points.

Confidence in Thai parliamentary system declined the most, followed by confidence in present government’s administration as well as confidence in life and assets safety.

Confidence in people sector’s participation in critical issues increased the most, followed by confidence in regional competitiveness and confidence in poverty and unemployment problem solving.

In the next six months, 35.7 percent thought that Thailand’s economy would be better while 29.3 said it would be worse.

33.4 percent believed Thai politics would pick up whereas 21.9 percent voiced it would not.

31.7 percent said Thai society would improve while 26.3 percent thought it would not.

The government was urged to first solve economic and unemployment problems, social divide, and politicians’ conflict respectively.
