Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – 62.3 percent of Thais said the government should borrow 400,000 million baht of loan to boost Thailand’s economy, according to ABAC Poll.
Assumption University surveyed 1,271 households in 17 provinces. The survey was conducted on May 19.
91 percent wanted the government to spend that money on medical treatment whereas 90.9 percent thought it should be used to create jobs.
35.1 percent said the government should use the loan to lend it to people.
98.4 percent wanted to see educational promotion while 91.4 percent gave importance to tourism.
89.1 percent gave priority to import-export business whereas 81.1 percent to food business.
67.1 percent or two-thirds said that both national and household economy should be emphasized.
47.4 percent thought that the government should borrow loan from domestic sources whereas 10.2 percent from overseas sources.
42.4 percent said loan should be borrowed from both sources.
