Thais are hurt to see social conflict

Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Most of Thai people and police felt hurt to see the social conflict caused by politics, according to a survey.

1,763 respondents in 17 provinces and 429 Metropolitan police were surveyed by ABAC Poll.

Thailand is now facing the political conflict and considered a political colors-based society.

Yellow shirts and red shirts are the two major camps while blue shirts rub salt to the divided society.

84 percent of people and police kept up with the political protests by different groups.

73.3 percent of people and 74.7 percent of police wanted all parties to follow the judicial process.

62.7 of people and 67.5 percent of police were hurt to learn about the social division.

59.8 percent of people and 75.9 percent of police thought all groups of people were Thais.

46.9 percent of people and 61.9 percent of police were content with police’s duty performing regarding different political groups.

65.7 percent of people and 80.9 percent of police felt sympathetic with the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police.

However, 65.1 percent of people wanted the state of emergency to continue for a while whereas 66.9 percent of police wanted the emergency decree to be removed.
