Heavy rain and hail in almost all parts of Thailand

Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – The Meteorological Department warned Thais of heavy rain, powerful winds as well as hailstones during April 1-2.

People were also warned not to stay outdoors, under big trees and advertising signs. Mobile phones should not be used during raining.

60 percent of rain will be in the north. Powerful winds can be seen. Hailstones will likely occur in some areas such as Chiang Rai, Payao, Nan, Phrae, Tak, Sukhothai, Uttradit, Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.

There will also be 60 percent of rain in the northeast. Heavy rain and hail will possibly happen in Loei, Nongkhai, Nongbua Lampu, Udon Thani, Mahasarakam, Roi-et, Chaiyaphu, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Surin, Srisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Powerful winds and 60 percent of rain can be expected in the central region. Hail will take place in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi and Ayutthaya. The lowest temperatures will be 24-27 degrees celsius while the highest temperatures 35-36 degrees celsius.

Even though it will be hot in the east, 60 percent of rain can be expected. Powerful winds and hail can be seen in Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Chanthaburi and Trad. Waves can be one metre high.

40 percent of rain will be in the eastern south, particularly in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumporn, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Pattalung. The lowest temperatures will be 23-25 degrees celsius whereas the highest temperatures 32-35 degrees celsius.

There will be 30 percent of rain in the western south, especially in Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang. Waves can be 1-2 metres high.

60 percent of rain can be expected in Bangkok and adjourning provinces. Powerful winds can be seen in some areas. The lowest temperatures will be 25-27 degrees celsius while the highest temperatures 34-35 degrees celsius.
