March 31, 2009
Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Thailand is becoming hotter because of heated politics starring former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his red supporters.

The Government House has turned red for the fifth day as the red shirts find a new entertainment place for them to stick to.

Some policemen even could not help joining the red rally yesterday evening, and this should guarantee how much fun one can have at such rally.

Lead actor Thaksin has made his phone-ins continually to keep his supporters active and attain his ultimate goal of either defeating the Abhisit government or returning to Thailand to administrate the country as he earlier mentioned.

Gen Prem Tinlasunonda, chairman of the Privy Council, ex-premier Gen Surayud Chulanont were just parts of the antagonists who were heavily attacked for Thaksin’s downfall.

Former foreign minister Tej Bunnag who was not on the antagonist list voiced his opinion that foreign minister Kasit Pirom was a good person as opposed to what Thaksin criticized.

Nevertheless, Thaksin challenged Kasit to catch him and revoke his passport if he can.

The fact is that not all Thais are red lovers and loved Thaksin phone-ins. At least, 73.4 percent disagreed to Thaksin’s speech regarding notable figures.

69.4 percent were unhappy with his recent phone-in, according to the ABAC Poll.

Although admitting Thaksin phone-ins were provoking, Deputy PM Suthep Thaugban insisted the government would not confront the anti-government group.

The point is that how long it will take either the government or the anti-government group to first begin to take a tough action against the other side.
