Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – The Government House turns red as the red shirts’ rally enters its fourth day. The Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship (DAAD) made it a picnic place just like what the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) used to.

Food and drinks, red shirts, liquor as well as beer have been sold near the rallying place.

Although most people may think the DAAD imitate the PAD in all aspects, one big difference is that red shirts can have their favorite liquor and beer during the protest.

The cheerful atmosphere of the red lovers may make passers-by misunderstand the red shirts are celebrating something before the Songkran holidays.

Red shirts are seen more active since former premier Thaksin Shinawatra keeps making his phone-ins.

On Saturday, Thaksin told his supporters to rise up and fight the present government to bring back democracy.

He earlier accused Gen Prem Tinlasunonda, chairman of the Privy Council, and former premier Surayud Chulanont of the plan to bring him down.

Foreign Minister Kasit Pirom vowed to hunt down Thaksin to end the political turmoil and stabilize the royal institution.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Thaksin caused unrest to the Thai society.

Last night, the DAAD took control of a policeman who could escape physical attacks because his supervisor came to pick him up in time.

Nattawut Saikua, DAAD leader, insisted the red shirt group would stage the rally based on no violence.
