Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – Banharn Silpa-archa, former Chat Thai Party’s leader, said people should give the government an opportunity to work to prove itself and it was not time for cabinet reshuffle yet.

The government’s performance seemed to fail to be up to people’s expectations, according to the Krungthep poll.

People wanted to vote Deputy PM Suthep Thaugsuban and Foreign Minister Kasit Pirom out.

Banharn said it was not clear if Deputy Interior Minister Boonjong Vongtrairat was guilty or not.

He commented that it was not unexpected for Thaksin’s phone-in to happen to urge the Puea Thai Party’s members to fight for him.

Banharn believed Thaksin’s movement might somehow affect the government, but it would not affect the government’s stability much.

Suthep said he was not reported about Thaksin’s visit to Cambodia and some Puea Thai MPs had their rights to travel to meet him there.

He admitted it was difficult to bring Thaksin back to face legal actions due to officials’ lack of potential.

Defence minister and armed forces commanders would reportedly visit Cambodia tomorrow.
