Bangkok - The party-list MPs would lose their jobs and could not move to another party after their parties were disbanded, according to Chermsak Pinthong, former member of the Constitution Drafting Assembly.

The Constitutional Court dissolved the People Power Party (PPP), Matchimathipataya Party and Chart Thai Party because of voting fraud.

The ruling took place at the Administrative Court although some pro-government members gathered to press the Constitutional Court this morning.

"No matter whether you are satisfied or not with the verdict, we ask you to accept it," said Chat Chonlaworn, head of the nine-judge panel.

Chermsak said that the party-list MPs and executives of those parties should be covered by the ruling, according to the objectives of the 2007 Constitution Law.

Previously, some party-list MPs submitted their resignations to get ready for the court’s ruling.

109 executives of the three parties were totally affected. 37 were from the PPP while 43 from Chat Thai Party and 29 from Matchimathipataya Party respectively.

The PAD announced it would resume the protests if Chalerm Yoobamrung or Mingkwan Saengsuwan were nominated as the new premier.

Pramon Sutheevong, chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, said the business sector wanted to see the setup of a new government and other political parties should be given an opportunity to form the government.
