Bangkok (Manager Online) - Maj Gen Sanan Kachornprasat, leader of the Chart Thai Pattana Party, represented four political parties to hold a press briefing on decision to support the Democrat Party to form the government.
Sanan said the four parties would give their full support to the Democrat Party and back Abhisit Vejjajiva as the new prime minister.
He also said that the coalition parties would seek a joint resolution of any future decisions from now on.
These parties would not draw MPs from other parties and would support each other in the by-elections.
Sanan revealed that 240 MPs would back Abhisit to become the head of the government when the session took place.
A local TV channel reported that Newin Chidchob confirmed his Friends of Newin group chose to lose both friends and boss to join the Democrat Party.
Suwat Liptapallop, former energy minister, already announced the Ruamjaithai Chatpattana Party would advocate Abhisit to set up the government.
He believed most politicians would eventually consider the nation’s benefits.
