Bangkok - Toyota sales were the highest at the Motor Expo 2008, followed by Honda and Isuzu sales respectively.
The 25th auto show has taken place at the IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani since November 29.
With 1,555-unit sales, Toyota led in the first five days while Honda came in the second place with 866-unit sales and Isuzu in the third place with 728-unit sales respectively.
Sale target was reduced from 15,000 to 13,000 units because of the impact of economic and political problems.
460,650 people have participated in the Motor Expo which reflected a 17 percent drop from last year.
Consumers tended to focus on small, cheap and oil-saving autos. As a result, Proton sales were ranked the fifth.
1,100cc small-sized car from China was one of the highlights at this event. It is priced at 349,000 baht.
The twelve-day auto show will run until December 10. It was expected 15 billion baht would be spent at the event.
