Bangkok - Somsak Kosaisuk, one of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leaders, officially announced the end of the protest at the Don Muang Airport.

More than 300 protesters formed a human chain and sang along at the airport to mark their farewell to the place.

Somsak led the reporters to examine the terminal building, confirming no airport’s assets were damaged.

He said he was content with the result of the PAD rally as well as the judicial process.

However, the PAD would keep its eye on the gathering of the Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship (DAAD) at the parliament on December 8-9.

Somsak told the reporters that the PAD would take a 1-2-day break and the PAD leaders meeting would be later called to assess the situation.

The stock index jumped up 15.18 points this morning.

Stock buying was made, especially in the energy, commercial bank and communication stocks.
