Bangkok - The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) has occupied the Suvarnabhumi Airport to press PM Somchai Wongsawat to resign with no condition.

Anchalee Paileerak, PAD commentator, said the PAD would continue its rally to force the premier to step down.

No landing was allowed at the airport though the Airports of Thailand (AOT) director tried to negotiate for service resumption.

The PAD confirmed they would hold talks only with the premier.

The PAD protesters have closed the Suvarnabhumi Airport since last night. Lot of inbound and outbound passengers have become stranded. No check-in can be done.

The PAD has staged its protests against Somchai government, calling the cabinet to step down and give the opportunity for a new government who does not serve Thaksin’s benefits.
