Bangkok - Pipob Thongchai, one of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leaders, said he was confident the PAD would win over the government within this week.
The PAD protesters managed to surround the parliament and finance ministry where the IMF seminar was held.
Power blackout happened at parliament and the parliamentary session was postponed indefinitely.
Some MPs who planned to attend the session could not get out of parliament.
Pipob admitted that the PAD has not decided yet whether they would continue rallying in front parliament or move back to the Government House.
He said it was not certain whether the constitution amendments would be considered in the parliamentary session.
The session is set to end on November 28.
Previously, Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat gave an interview in Peru, saying he would definitely not step down.
