Bangkok - Surapong Tovijakchaikul, Chiang Mai MP from the People Power Party (PPP) already submitted the list of MPs who were against the army chief Gen Anupong Paochinda to Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat.
Surapong gathered 33 MPs’ signatures to show protest against Gen Anupong who was criticized for inefficient performance.
He also said that it was not appropriate for the Air Force commander-in-chief to suggest the parliament dissolution.
The Air Force commander-in-chief was urged to directly meet and discuss the issue with the premier.
Surapong believed the situation would be better after December 4.
However, several business networks gathered in front the Silom Complex Building this morning to call for Somchai’s resignation to end the political deadlock.
They were afraid the civil war might take place.
