Bangkok - Not less than 200 members of the Rak Chiang Mai 51 or red T-shirt group gathered in front TPBS northern news center this morning to ask for apology.
TPBS presented news saying the so-called group’s members joined the Truth Today program since they got 3,000 baht for the transport cost.
The group wanted to know who reported such news and the TV station to issue its apology.
The Rak Chiang Mai 51 group’s members threatened to close TPBS TV station if they got no explanation.
Police officers were asked to provide safety for TPBS TV station. TPBS Chiang Mai news team denied presenting such news, saying it was presented by news team in the central region.
Kwanchai Praipana, president of the Udon lover club, argued on FM 97.50 MHz radio station that people who joined the rally at the Hua Mark Stadium were not hired.
It was reported each person got 500-1,000 baht for showing up at the stadium.
Kwanchai said he and the group’s members would welcome Sondhi Limthongkul, one of the PAD leaders, who reportedly planned to present robes to monks in Udon Thani.
