Bangkok - Sondhi Limthongkul, one of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) finally walked out of the Metropolitan Police Bureau after giving himself up to the police this morning.
Police brought the lese majeste charge against Sondhi who presented Daranee Chancherngsilpakul’s lese majeste case at the PAD rallies.
Daranee was accused of the charge as she strongly insulted HM Queen Sirikit during her speech at Sanam Luang.
Sondhi asked all the demonstrators to walk back to the Makhawan Bridge, saying all information would be disclosed.
Kamnoon Sithisaman used his Senator position to bail out Sondhi.
Gen Pathompong Kaesornsuk, adviosry chairman of the Supreme Command Headquarters, also went to the Metropolitan Police Bureau to witness to the case and cheer Sondhi up.
Gen Pathompong used to join the PAD’s protests, asking all parties to maintain the nation and royal institution.
