Bangkok - Nearly 40% of Thais wanted to see former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and media tycoon Sondhi Limthongkul love each other, according to a poll.
The poll was conducted by Assumption University.
38.4% said they wanted Thaksin and Sondhi to love each other the most.
30.2% voted for Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat and opposition party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva pair while 26.4% for Thaksin and Abhisit pair.
People mostly liked to see Thaksin and Sondhi love each other in the north and northeast where the People Power Party (PPP) has the strong political network.
45.8% liked to see the Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship (DAAD) and People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) love and reconcile.
40.4% wanted the government and opposition MPs to be in unity while 30.3% liked to see the government MPs and PAD be in unity.
92.4% thought all parties should let the problems be solved by judicial process.
59.6% said they wanted a new election while 46% voted for constitution amendments.
26.2% wanted a military coup to take place.
