Bangkok - The process to dissolve the People Power Party (PPP) began as the Constitution Court sent the disbanding petition to the party’s headquarters.
The Constitution Court officials yesterday posted such announcement and dropped a box of document copies at the PPP head office.
Nobody was available to receive the documents.
Office of the Attorney-General previously asked the Constitution Court to disband the PPP.
It was reported the party’s security guard brought all documents to the fourth floor of the building where the PPP’s juridical office is.
The PPP has to give its explanations to the court within fifteen days.
The Supreme Court yesterday gave its verdict on the Ratchadapisek land case in which the ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra faced two-year imprisonment.
