Bangkok - The Provincial Electricity Authority and Krabi Palm Oil Cooperatives signed a memorandum of agreement to jointly produce the electricity from biogas.
The electricity generation will be based on the waste water used in the palm oil extracting process.
It is to support the government’s power generation based on renewable energy.
It also serves Krabi province’s strategic oil plan.
The Anaerobic Fixed Film technology will be used for the electricity generation.
The technology enables the storage of the microbes which are necessary for biogas production.
The power generation will be able to serve about 10,000 households, reduce fuel oil imports and reduce greenhouse gases.
