Bangkok - 44% of people in Bangkok were not content with Samak 4 government as many ministers were not qualified for the posts, according to a poll.
1,158 people in Bangkok were surveyed by Bangkok University on August 3. The respondents were 18 years old up.
44% of the respondents were not satisfied with the new cabinet while 36.8% were happy with the cabinet outlook.
36% thought Foreign Minister Tej Bunnag was most suitable for the post while 21.5% were content with Pol Gen Kowit Wattana as the interior minister.
8.5% was happy to have Mingkwan Saengsuwan as the industry minister.
48.3% did not think the government would gain more popularity after its reshuffle while 30.5% said the government would gain less popularity instead.
33.7% thought problems with foreign countries would not be solved while 39.1% believed economic problems would still not be dealt with.
Top priorities for the new cabinet were economic and cost of living problem, national unity, southern unrest, relations with foreign countries, corruption, traffic and environmental problem respectively.
52% believed the political situation would be the same while 27.9% said it would improve and 20.1% thought it would be worse.
