Bangkok - PTT Plc confirmed there would be no LPG shortage, planning to import another lot of 80,000 tons of LPG in July to serve rising demand.
PTT Plc president Prasert Bunsumpun revealed there would be no LPG shortage as the company raised its LPG imports from 60,000 to 80,000 tons.
PTT has coordinated with refineries, Article 7 traders, State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and transport companies to enable more LPG delivery in the central region and provinces.
PTT supported the government’s policy to raise the LPG price in the transport and industrial sector as the price is lower than it should be.
Prasert also said that the quarterly adjustment of LPG price would result in price hike in the household sector.
The government was urged to raise the LPG price only in the transport and industrial sector while maintaining the price in the household sector.
