Bangkok - PTT Plc was urged to supply more LPG to the small traders to serve rising demand and deal with the LPG shortage, according to the Internal Trade Department (ITD).
Mrs. Satrirat Tham-in, owner of the SSG Corporation service station, said she was told the LPG quota was cut. As a result, there was only one LPG delivery during these few days.
Normally, LPG was delivered to her service station twice a day.
Yanyong Phuangraj, ITD director-general, met three major LPG traders: PTT, World Gas and Unigas to estimate the situation to deal with LPG shortage.
With only 27 LPG service stations nationwide, PTT, major LPG importer, cannot supply the fuel to serve the demand.
The LPG price was expected to rise 2-3 baht per kilogram in the industrial and auto sector.
