Bangkok - Deputy Democrat party leader Jurin Laksanavisit revealed the LPG shortage was caused by major trader’s LPG hoarding.
Jurin said the government got lost to solve the LPG shortage problem, adding he had information to prove the shortage was caused by hoarding.
The government was urged to check if PTT or other LPG traders according to the Article 7 hoarded the LPG or not.
It was found there was 110,000 tons of LPG in stock.
PTT will receive up to 323 million baht of compensation for its LPG import.
He questioned whether it was possible not to sell LPG in a hope to get the compensation.
Jurin also called for the postponement of LPG price rise in the transport sector until the natural gas management was done.
