Bangkok - Thai Airways International board may call its meeting if getting an approval from the board’s chairman.
More than 200 Thai Airways employees gathered at the head office this morning to protest against Chaiswasdi Kittipornpaibul.
They said Chaiswasdi Kittipornpaibul, permanent-secretary for transport, exercised his personal right to push for the appointment.
Norahat Ployyai was appointed to replace Apinan Sumanaseni, effective since June 27 onwards.
Though the employees agreed to the board’s resolution, they sent a letter to call on Chaiswasdi to explain the issue soon.
ACM Narongsak Sangkhapong represented the board to receive the letter.
It was reported Apinan arrived at the headquarters at 10:00 AM, and another group of more than 100 staff gave red roses to cheer him up.
He confirmed he would continue doing his duties.
