Bangkok - Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Somchai Wongsawat disagreed to Professor Prawes Wasi’s idea to form the national government.
Somchai said he understood Prawes’s good intention. But he did not think it was the right time to set up the national government.
Senior citizen Prof Prawes proposed the People Power Party (PPP) should lead to form the national government to end the political conflicts.
He also called for people’s participation in the politics.
Somchai revealed the cabinet did not discuss the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD)’s rally at today’s meeting, saying the issue was left on relating authorities.
Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej did not give an interview with the press, leaving the Government House right away for his private business.
It was reported the premier decided to hold the cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai on June 13-14. This is to promote Chiang Mai’s tourism.
