Bangkok - The Meteorological Department (MD) warned of the low-pressure mass in the Andaman Sea which is likely to cause heavy rain and flash floods in the west of the country.
The Meteorological Department revealed the powerful low-pressure mass which covered the upper part of the Andaman Sea moved to Myanmar’s Gulf of Matabun.
As a result, heavy rain can be seen in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son, Lampun, Lampang, Kamphaeng Phet, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Uttaradit, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani and Kanchanaburi.
Flash floods and mountain run-off are likely to happen.
People are warned of natural disasters during these two days (April 29-30).
Strong winds and waves can also be seen in the upper part of the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand.
