Bangkok - Heavy rain can be seen in almost all areas, especially in the inner Bangkok, according to the Meteorological Department.
Affected areas include Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, Lopburi, Prachinburi, Nakhon Nayok, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Bangkok.
Heavy rain and strong wind can be found in the inner Bangkok areas such as Victory Monument, Soi Rangnam, Phaya Thai, Rajathevi and Chatuchak.
Heavy rain will continue until late in the evening or until tomorrow morning in some areas.
It is suggested parents should take their children to schools earlier to avoid traffic congestion tomorrow.
The powerful low-pressure mass is passing Myanmar and upper part of Thailand.
As a result, heavy rain can also be expected in Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Trad, Chumporn, Surat Thani, Ranong and Phang Nga.
People in those areas are warned of flash floods and mountain run-off.
Fishermen are also warned not to sail in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand during May 14-17, according to the Meteorological Department’s warning.
