Bangkok - The Airports of Thailand (AOT) Plc plans to apply its landing fee cut to more airports to attract both domestic and overseas airlines.
The Aviation Marketing Incentive Program (AMIP) was launched to attract more airlines to use the airports’ service, according to Mr. Suratas Suthammanas, AOT executive vice-president for business development.
The program mainly focuses on landing fee cut.
The landing fee cut has been applied to the Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiangrai and Hat Yai Airport already.
A new marketing plan will be set to apply to the Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi Airport.
75% and 95% fee cut will be given to international airlines with one and more than one flights per week respectively while 30% fee cut to domestic airlines.
The program will be effective from November 2007 to October 2009.
The fee cut will not cover the charter flights.
The AOT Plc which is formerly known as Airports Authority of Thailand (AAT) is a state enterprise under the supervision of Transport Ministry.
