Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – The best way to cope with the Type A influenza is washing hands frequently to reduce germs spreading, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Liquid or bar soap can be used with water to completely clean people’s hands.

Hand gel is another choice for people who have to travel to places in which water is not available.

It is recommended that buyers should go for hand gel with alcoholic ingredient.

Antiseptic alcohol can replace hand gel as well. However, it differs from hand gel that it evaporates quickly, has no perfume and may cause dry skin.

The closure of tutorial schools for 15 days to prevent disease spreading yielded satisfactory results, according to the education ministry.

Interior Minister Chavarat Charnvirakul yesterday ordered nationwide governors to establish the flu watch centers to follow up the flu situation.

So far, worldwide governments and scientists have tried to produce the new virus vaccine. Australia yesterday began testing the anti-influenza 2009 vaccine in humans.

Scientists were worried that the H1N1 virus might mutate and cause more deaths than the Spanish or Asian flu.
